A damper is a swivel device fitted in the chimney outlet, this is controlled using a pull lever at the front of the fire, it's main use is to control the air through the chimney when you wish to 'bank' the fire in overnight.

 

We guarantee all of our wood burner stoves to be free of defects - please note that installation should be carried out by a competent person and we recommend that a flue liner is used in your chimney.
